I can totally understand what the protagonist is saying. A lot of married people that I see around me (be it my parents, my teachers, etc.) sometimes look like they could pass off as siblings. I'm pretty sure it's because they get accustomed to one another so much that they start to adopt the other one's facial ticks and expressions.

It's funny that this is something you see all over the world. I also often see people who over time look a lot like their pets…😂
