As every year, Toyo University is organizing online business Japanese courses. Most of them are free, some are paid. I’m in no way affiliated with the program and therefore cannot speak to its quality, so this is just FYI.
If any of you end up taking any of the courses on offer, please feel free to share your experience in the comment section below for others to reference.
I was pretty happy with the courses. I don't feel they prepared me for jumping straight into a business meeting, but rather for studying more. Which makes sense, because you can't learn all you need to know in 7 days anyway.
One cool resource that I was introduced to on the course is also of use outside business settings. https://nlb.ninjal.ac.jp/ is a collocation database that tells you e.g. which verbs are most often used in combination with a noun. The example they used is 「計画を」is most often used with 「立てる」, meaning 'to make plans'.
Thank you! I have signed up for the special courses.
The price is a bit hidden; I paid ¥1,100 per paid course, for a total of ¥7,700. There are also 7 unpaid courses
