Grammar:

1. 降ってきた - te kuru past tense - snow had come (up until the present moment)

2. 飛んで行った - te iku past tense - flew away (from speaker)

3. 入ってしまった - te shimau past tense - had entered / retreated into [their nests]

4. Xでも飛んで行ったか、Yでも入ってしまった。

でも here has the feeling of "or something", giving suggestions of where the crows could be

深いーdeep, intense

何回 how many times, 何回も many times, 何回か a few times

Kanji:

回ーかい

季節ーき・せつ
