This is probably a good place to ask something I have been curious about. Are there any rules to name pronunciations in Japanese? Can you tell if name kanji uses kunyomi or onyomi. Is it just easier for Japanese people who are exposed to these names more regularly to figure out how a name is pronounced when reading it?
