Bunsukesan, as ever really enjoying reading your pieces. A picky point but what is the subtle difference between pronouncing 習い性

ならいせい and ならいしょう as you translate it? Also is it any different in meaning to 習性

Hi Paul, thank you for your always thoughtful comments. I read this as ならいしょう as that is how I remembered reading it elsewhere but it seems most dictionaries give the reading ならいせい instead, so I will adjust this on the website. As for しゅうせい, I don't think there is any inherent difference in meaning. I'll get in touch if I find any additional information on this. Thanks again!

The bit that gave me most trouble was:

つい想像してしまします

After a while I think that しま in th3 middle is しまい that lost the い, is that right?

I forgot about those fancy conditionals, good to fresh em up.
