私が掛茶屋で先生を見た時は、先生が丁度着物を脱いでこれから海へ入ろうとするところであった。私はその時反対に濡れた身体を風に吹かして水から上って来た。二人の間には目を遮ぎる幾多の黒い頭が動いていた。

Grammar:

1. 入ろうとする

   Here, the volitional form of the verb 入る followed by 〜とする indicates that someone is just about to perform the action.

Translation:

When I saw Sensei at the beach-side tea house, he had just taken off his clothes and was about to go into the ocean. I, on the other hand, was coming out of the water, letting the wind blow against my body. There were countless black heads moving between us, obstructing the view.
