#160 宮沢賢治「風の又三郎」
谷川の岸に小さな学校がありました。
教室はたった一つでしたが生徒は三年生がないだけで、あとは一年から六年までみんなありました。運動場もテニスコートのくらいでしたが、すぐうしろは栗の木のあるきれいな草の山でしたし、運動場のすみにはごぼごぼつめたい水を噴く岩穴もあったのです。

Translation:
On the bank of the mountain stream there was a small school.
It had just one classroom, but, with the exception of year three, it contained students of every year, from one through six. The playground was no larger than a tennis court, but behind it was a beautiful grassy mountain with chestnut trees, and in the corner of the playground was a rock pit that gushed cold water.
