都会から、あまり遠く離れていないところに、一本の高い木が立っていました。
ある夏の日の暮れ方のこと、その木は、恐ろしさのために、ぶるぶると身ぶるいをしていました。木は、遠くの空で、雷の鳴る音をきいたからです。

Translation:
Somewhere, not so far from the big city, there stood a large tree.
One summer evening, the tree trembled with fear. It trembled, because it heard the sound of thunder in the distant sky.

Apparently you'd say 震える手 or in this case 震える枝. But to refer to the whole being you say 身震い、みぶるい.
