#146　吉本隆明『言語にとって美とはなにか』

わたしたちは空気を呼吸して生きている。そしてあるばあいは空気を呼吸していることをまったく意識さえしていない。おなじようにわたしたちは言葉をしゃべり、書き、聴き、読んで生きている。しかし、あるばあいには言葉をまったく意識さえしていないのだ。これはとても健康な状態だというべきだ。

Translation:

We live our lives breathing air. In certain cases, we are not even aware that we are breathing air. In much the same way, we live our lives speaking, writing, and hearing language. But in certain cases, we are not even aware of language. This is a very healthy situation.
