#100　村上春樹「4月のある晴れた朝に100パーセントの女の子に出会うことについて」

昔々、あるところに少年と少女がいた。少年は十八歳で、少女は十六歳だった。たいしてハンサムな少年でもないし、たいして綺麗な少女でもない。どこにでもいる孤独で平凡な少年と少女だ。でも彼らは、この世の中のどこかには100パーセント自分にぴったりの少女と少年がいるに違いないと固く信じている。

Once upon a time, there were a boy and a girl. The boy was eighteen years old, and the girl was sixteen years old. He wasn’t a particularly handsome boy, and she wasn’t a particularly pretty girl. They were your ordinary lonely boy and girl that you could find anywhere. But these two firmly believed that no doubt somewhere in this world existed a 100 percent perfect girl and boy for them.
